Brand design
In an exercise for a Uni project, I was tasked with creating a brand for a pattern museum. I chose the name Rōpinepine, a Māori word that means tessellate or tile, this connects to the act of pattern-making and acknowledges both the geographic location of the museum and the indigenous peoples of New Zealand.
The logo is a cube that symbolises the museum's physical space, as well as a single tile. The key mission of the brand was to create a space to gather and collaborate as a tile contributes to a pattern. The logo is a wire frame representing guidance and potential. The logo can be tiled to generate various patterns, enabling unique exhibition-specific branding.
